The goal of our Fit for Germany Coaching Program is to â€‹mentally and socially prepare you for your time in Germany by focusing on the following three main areas:

3. Your future life and career in Germany (Life plan coaching)

As a bonus, we will assist you in organizing your logistics (visa application, German language and academic aptitude test, accommodation in Germany, airport pickup etc.) and use it as a real life lesson in dealing with the German government.

We will help you to establish the right mindset before you arrive in Germany. In this way, you are not only prepared for life in Germany but through our focus on language and culture Germany will feel like a second home to you.

Preparing to go to Germany can be a challenge. During our coaching sessions, we will assist you in getting your documents ready for visa and foundation course and help you prepare in the most efficient way, all in German, if possible. 

2. German university
 

Gain access to German universities via Studienkolleg foundation courses. These Studienkollegs are roughly one year in length and require at least an intermediate level of German (B1).

3. Long term plans


After 5-8 years of legal residence in Germany and having a reasonable purpose to stay, you can apply for unlimited residence or German citizenship through a migration lawyer.

Germany your second home
The goal of this program is to make you think of Germany as your second home before you even arrive. We will tell you how to make German friends, how to find a job, how to join a local sports club, what Germans do in their spare time etc. We will also use German language as much as possible when we discuss these topics, so that you get used to using the language in a casual and non-academic way.

Your life plan

We will design a life plan for you in Germany which will give you the best chance of living a happy and fulfilling life there. What are your career goals, what are your relationship goals, what do you like to do in your free time? If you love science, we can plan how to get your career as a scientist started, if you are lonely, we can teach you strategies to make local German friends, if you like football, we will tell you how to find others to play with.

Cost: starting from 12,000 EUR for the first 100 live online sessions of 35 minutes each, 1,200 EUR for each block of additional 10 sessions

2. The Studienkolleg

The most straight forward way to enter the German university track is through so called Studienkollegs (foundation courses).​ Our partner Studienkolleg offers a holistic service where they will pick you up at the airport in Germany, organize your accommodation, help you with visa application etc.​​​​​​​

Cost: about 10,000 EUR

  • Airport pick up at the closest airport (other airports for an additional fee)

  • All study fees

  • Accommodation for the academic year in dorms or local apartments

  • All study materials and relevant courses

  • German health insurance

  • Assistance with visa/residence permit and extensions

  • Train ticket for regional trains (Semesterticket)


In addition, we partner with several German universities who may make you a conditional offer for certain majors given that you finish the Studienkolleg successfully and with good grades. The university affiliated to the Studienkolleg will also make you a guaranteed study offer.

Your to do list for Studienkolleg

  • If you want to progress through our program and the Studienkolleg at its fastest pace a high English level is usually necessary.

  • At least a successfully completed high school education in your home country, certain courses and grades may be required

  • The candidate's full commitment and support of efforts, such as translations of documents into German, notarization, timely payment of fees at the consulate, testing centers etc.

  • Find a German language course that will take you to B1 level at least and prepare for the German language test called TestDaF. We recommend a course at the Goethe Institutes or DAAD which you can find worldwide. We also work with an online partner in Germany which offers both private and group lessons for students enrolling together.

  • You may need to take the German academic aptitude test TestAS for German student visa and find support to study for it. Visit the following website for more information on testing dates and mock exams: www.testas.de

  • The Studienkolleg has an entrance exam which you need to pass. Make sure to use mock tests to see if your German, math and English skills are up to speed.

  • Have an idea of what you want to study at German university as there are four specialized fields:

  1. T = technical and engineering

  2. W = business and economics

  3. M = medical

3. Long term plans in Germany?

After a few years of being legally resident in Germany you may apply for unlimited residence or even citizenship (after 5-8 years). Other prerequisites are: 

  • good conduct

  • proving that you have good German language skills

  • a reasonable purpose of continuing to reside in Germany, such as full time employment, starting your own business, marrying a German citizen etc.

  • any other prerequisites the German government may stipulate.

FAQ

What is Coaching?

Coaching in this case is one to one (live online) training taking into account the special traits and characteristics of the student. The goal is to prepare the student in the most efficient way to have the best time in Germany, both for a career, social skills and leisure.

What is a Studienkolleg?

Studienkollegs are public and private institutions that help foreign students to gain access to German university through a one year course. Students are expected to work hard and pass the Studienkolleg exams.

How much is your Fit for Germany Coaching Program?

Program fees start at 12,000 EUR for 100 live one to one sessions of 35 minutes each. You can book additional sessions as needed in 10 session blocks (35 minutes each seassion) at 1,200 EUR per block.

How much does a Studienkolleg cost?

Program fees are about 10,000 EUR incl. all the services mentioned above under Services while you are still at home and Services in Germany. This pricing is only available in combination with the coaching services.

Can you help me find an internship?

Internships are usually only relevant after you have started studying at German university. Your university career service will be able to help you find appropriate opportunities. You can also try to find a dual studies program during which you will work part time at a German company. Your university will usually support you in finding a good partner company. In the meantime, make sure your German is fluent.

When should I apply for the program?

It would be best to apply at least one year before you want to go to Germany. Apart from getting your visa and other preparations, you will also have to participate in an entrance exam and learn German before you can go to Germany.

When does the program start?

The preparation period can start anytime, if you have a high English level and no knowledge of German, expect to need about one year or preparation before you can go to  The program in Germany starts in mid August or mid February of every year.

Am I guaranteed a university spot after Studienkolleg?

When you finish your Studienkolleg, you will be treated just like any other German student applying to university. If you have certain universities and majors in mind, you should work hard on your grades during the Studienkolleg so that you have a competitive final grade. Many German universities and majors will admit students according to their final grade. There has never been a case of a student finishing the Studienkolleg and not gaining admission to a German university.

We also work with several German universities to offer conditional acceptance letters under the condition that you graduate successfully from the Studienkolleg.

Do I need to visit a Studienkolleg if I want to do a Master or PhD?
