Credit Transfer & Academic Recognition

Participants in the Vietnam Business Minor at FPT University Da Nang will receive an official academic transcript upon successful completion of the program. The transcript lists all courses taken, grades achieved, and the awarded credits: 18 credits (36 ECTS) for the 12–13 week academic program. We understand that credit recognition is one of the most important considerations for students and their home institutions. Here’s how the process works:

  • Partner Institutions: If your home university has a formal partnership or exchange agreement with us or FPT University, credit transfer is guaranteed and handled directly through the established process.

  • Free Movers (non-partner universities): Most students participate as free movers. In these cases, we provide full support throughout the credit approval and transfer process. This includes:

    • Supplying detailed course syllabi, learning outcomes, and grading scales upon request (ideally before the student applies).

    • Issuing the official FPT University transcript promptly after program completion.

    • Assisting with any additional documentation your university may require.

Recommendation for Advisors and Students
We strongly encourage students to consult with their home university’s academic advisor or international office as early as possible — ideally before submitting their application. This allows time to review course descriptions and obtain pre-approval where needed. Many universities readily accept credits from FPT University’s English-taught business courses, especially when they align with the student’s major or elective requirements.

Our team has successfully supported credit transfers for students from universities in the US, Canada, Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. We are happy to work directly with academic advisors to answer specific questions about course content, workload, or grading. If you are an agent or university advisor reviewing this program for your students, feel free to contact us directly for sample syllabi, past transcript examples, or to discuss how this program can best fit into your students’ degree pathways.

Internship Option

You can opt to do a 12-week internship at one of our partner companies in Da Nang. Please inform us of your interest during the first week after you arrive in Vietnam at the latest. Our partner companies have their own interview process so the earlier you decide to do an internship, the more likely we are to find a suitable position for you.

The fees for the internship program incl. accommodation for 12 weeks are 7.900 USD, if you book the Vietnam Business Minor and internship program together the fees are reduced to 18.800 USD for the whole 24-25 week program.

Due to student visa rules, the internships are unpaid.
